Your wishes are primal
You can pass on your wishes by telephone, or send a first concept or sketch by email or regular mail. In this initial state the number of illustrations will be communicated, as well as the planning, briefing and deadline and possibly a decision concerning the technique to be used.
Specifiying the assignment
In general a person-to-person interview follows in which examples will be shown to clarify the possibilities of the different techniques. This is to further inform you and to enable you to obtain a result that’s closest to the heart.
The Contract
After you’ve made your choice I will set up an initial contract. The contract will include copyrights, correction phases, payments and user conditions.
The Sketch Phase
After you’ve giving your written affirmation of the contract proposal, you will supply the required materials and information. The first sketches usually are to be drawn in pencil and markers, and are meant to further clarify the general image of the illustrations, and its possibilities. This phase will also enable you to communicate desired adaptions.
Delivery
After agreement on the sketches, I will work on completion in the agreed upon technique. An eventual high resolution rendering can be in the form of a full color watercolor, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop or 3D illustration. The definite files will be delivered digitally.
Far-reaching adaptations that exclude the initial briefing are considered author corrections and thus include extra charges. These will be communicated in advance.
